majesty
The Majesty series came out of an exhibition I had in a flower shop. Nicolette, my partner chided me for not having images of flowers to go along with my Metro Motion series.
So in my usual rebellious fashion I decided instead to photograph weeds I found growing along the side of the bike path I rode on my way in to my studio every morning.
I combined an idea I had read about many years before about scanning objects and another Idea I devised and used in the Metro Motion series to modify the colour of the “flowers”. And Voila, non-traditional floral images.
