Unnamed Twenty Seven, 2018 — Sidelong :: (click to see more)
Yesterday I completed work on the final edit of my latest body of work – the Convergent series. I’m aiming to have all the images up on my site by next week’s post but there are 40 images so it may take a little longer.
I made some test prints a while ago to determine print sizes and they’ve been hanging in the studio so I could get used to them – it’s looking like the print sizes will be 40×60 and 30×40, both sizes with an edition of 10 prints each.

I’ve been thinking about my final printing step. Up to now, making prints has been more of an after thought – doesn’t sound so good I know. But given that I print constantly for clients, I have a solid handle on the printing process and am comfortable knowing I will get exactly what I expect in my prints. But there are some fine tuning tweaks I could perform at the printing stage that might give my prints a little more life and perhaps I’m ready to begin exploring them.
But it means I need to think about how to integrate this print tweaking step into my process and then what I’ll do with all the extra prints that come out it. Where and how I’ll store them and what I’ll actually do with them in the future. I have a tight process and it can easily become over run. But perhaps it’s time to loosen things up a little. Who knows, maybe it’ll help me in other ways – like determining print dimensions and edition sizes.
